Just as there as many facets to our lives, there are many facets to the work I do, each connected to my passion for health, wellbeing, awareness, empowerment and nourishment. I create dynamic NEW SYSTEMS that inspire individuals, groups and families to meet the challenges of their own journey with love, understanding and the courage to take risks from the HEART – where Healing and Art meet.
I work as a Child Advocate, Specialist in Theatre for Young People, Writer, Director, Drama Tutor, Public Speaker, Spiritual Celebrant, Health & Wellbeing Educator, Corporate Change Advisor, Tanjella the Fairy, Certified ThetaHealing® Practitioner & Instructor, Demonstrator & Distributor of Vitamix Total Nutrition Blenders, Excalibur Dehydrators, Earthing Mats, Grounding Products and WillauTronic E-Smog Protection Chips for your TV, computer and mobile phones and am the Creator & Facilitator of ‘Unravelling the Bully’ & ‘Connecting Families’ Workshops.
I am facilitating an Introduction to ThetaHealing on Thursday evening this week (Jan 5, 2012) and expect a good turn up. I will be sharing insights into many changes taking place on the planet at the moment and will provide an overview of ThetaHealing and how it can support us in these times of radical change.
I have learned a great deal about human behaviour over the years through studies, observations and contemplations. What I know about people is that we strive to feel good and don’t always understand why we don’t feel good ‘on demand’. Feeling ‘good’ often takes us by surprise, for it is when we are not ‘thinking’ about ‘feeling good’, that it can sneak past the goal keeper and hit home!
During my introductions I preview forthcoming courses and always have interest in participation. As the time gets closer to attend workshops, invariably people will cancel. Human nature is fascinating, wonderful and is ALWAYS trying to look out for us, not realising that it sometimes keeps us trapped within limitations that we have outgrown. It took me a while to decipher this phenomenon and when I observed myself in the process it became much clearer. When events are a long way out we can feel a freedom to commit to them, as there is distance and time in between. As the events get closer, the very nature of having committed prompts a signal within us that we are about to ‘challenge’ and perhaps ‘change’ some outmoded patterns. This is likely to stir up feelings that stand in the way of us living the life we want to live and can be very uncomfortable. So, human nature, being what it is and in order to relieve ourselves of the old, familiar, yet uncomfortable feelings, are likely to employ a number of strategies that help us ‘feel’ better in the moment. We may find that we have double-booked our diary, we may feel unwell or fall asleep and miss the event all together, all cleverly designed by the unconscious to keep us safe! (in a limited way). Unfortunately, these strategies only offer a temporary buffer and the cycle begins again until we face it. Once we recognise that the uncomfortable feelings are an important part of the cycle and necessary to move THROUGH them rather than AWAY from them, THEN we are ready to take the next step to ensure we BREAK the CYCLE and move to the freedom that awaits on the other side.
