Health and wellness are top on my priority list.
I have been an education junkie most of my life and spent much time and money building my resources and knowledge on what works for me. I have been on my own journey of recovery since I was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) in 2003. I chose to stand aside from western medicine to seek the cause of the imbalance rather than just deal with symptoms. It has been an extremely insightful, challenging and eventually rewarding process to which I can attest the benefits of acupuncture, bi-com treatment, mentors, detoxification, meditation, yoga, sleep, nutrient rich organic foods, faith in a higher power and a willingness to dig deep within to find and reawaken the truth.
At times I felt very alone and was labelled ‘uncooperative’ by the medical profession when I chose to investigate what was underlying my racing heart rather than take a beta-blocker pill to inhibit the uptake of the overproduction of beta adrenalin from my thyroid. I was told I was making a “bad decision and would probably die of a heart attack”. At the time, this served only to add to the fear and stress by body was already under and through sheer strong Will and determination I kept going. I have learned so much about myself, health and wellness along the way and after five years of dedication and persistence, I rose from the ashes.
Through my experience and from a place of victory, respect and compassion for myself and the medical model, I have turned my life around am now in a position to put that wealth of information into a workable package and share it with others.
If you have had enough of the frustrating vicious cycles and are ready to make some powerful and life changing decisions to end those outmoded beliefs and old perspectives that have kept us trapped in unhealthy physical, emotional and spiritual patterns, then start today, reach out and ask for the support you need to reach the ultimate goal of loving life and living the life you were born to live with passion and enthusiasm.
